Six days of dawn surf sessions and slow, grounded yoga on Sri Lanka's south coast — where the practice on your mat meets the practice in the water.
Yoga steadies the breath. Surfing demands it. We built this retreat around the way both practices move you toward the same place — present, unhurried, awake to your own body.
"You don't need to be strong to surf, or flexible to do yoga. You need to show up, again and again, and let the water and the mat teach you the rest."
Loose enough to breathe in, structured enough to keep you moving. Here's how the days unfold.
A few moments from our previous Sri Lanka group — the water, the boards, the laughs in between.
We stay together under one roof — a lovingly renovated house just across from Kabalana's surf breaks, full of character and built for that easy, all-in-one-place family feeling. Three of the sleeping lofts sit up on mezzanine levels reached by ladder, so falling asleep means climbing up into your own little cabin and waking up ready to paddle out. Each room has air conditioning and a fan, and a handful of bars, restaurants, and yoga spots are an easy walk from the front door.
90 minutes from Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport. Airport transfers are not included and can be arranged separately.
Galle Fort, cinnamon and tea estates, whale watching in Mirissa, and some of the best roadside curry on the island.
